On Days Like These – Landscape Photography

“On days like these” is an exhibition by Suffolk based photographer Chris Madden, displaying landscape photography from around the world – dramatic Iceland, frozen Canada, China and Italy alongside local scenes.
About Chris and his inspiration for the exhibition
As far back as I can remember I have enjoyed long country walks, but it wasn’t until around 2013 that I started to take a camera with me. My intention was to record some of those unexpected and perhaps more memorable moments. Not long after that decision it became clear to me that landscape photography had become rewarding in so many ways, and it was certainly helping me to appreciate my surroundings more than ever before. Over the past seven years my love of landscape has taken me to places much further afield such as Italy, China, dramatic Iceland, and a very memorable frozen Canada! I still enjoy planning trips much closer to home and however well I plan there will often be that unexpected bit of good luck, of course our ever changing weather helps to keep those surprises coming. Taking that camera out with me in 2013 has more than helped me to appreciate my surroundings, and has definitely made those long walks even more enjoyable.
